Small Faces (The Small Faces), founded in 1965, is known as one of the most influental mod groups of the sixties. Small Faces split in 1969 when lead singer and guitarist Steve Marriott left the band. The remaining band members recruited Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood and formed "Faces". Marriott joined up with Peter Frampton and formed "Humble Pie".
